Free Thyroid vs Adrenal Evaluation
Thyroid and Adrenal symptoms can be very similar. It can leave you wondering if the symptoms you are experiencing are from your thyroid or adrenal glands.
If we take a close look at the symptoms there are key differences so let’s breakdown the symptoms to get a better understanding.
Sleep – The thyroid case sleeps well. They will usually sleep 7 – 9 hours a night. Adrenal cases sleep horrible. They have trouble falling asleep and usually wake up at 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning. They have trouble falling back to sleep.
Energy – The thyroid case wakes up tired and never seems to get great energy. Their energy stays low throughout the day. The adrenal case wakes up tired but has up and down levels of energy during the day. They may be exhausted when they wake up but as the day goes on they get a little bit of energy. After they eat lunch they crash hard, then they get a little bit of energy. Then it’s time for dinner and they get tired after dinner but then they get energy. The adrenal case wakes up in the evening.
Moods – The thyroid case is more depressed while the adrenal case is anxious and worried.
Body Fat – The thyroid case has weight gain all over the body. The adrenal case has belly fat and thinner arms and legs.
Hair – The thyroid case has thinning hair. The adrenal case doesn’t have much change in their hair
One other difference is the adrenal case sometimes has a Dowager’s Hump. This is a fat pad at the base of your neck where your neck meets the upper back.
