6 cups filtered water
20 thinly sliced strawberries
1 tablespoon grated ginger…
1 thinly sliced orange
1 thinly sliced cucumber
1 thinly sliced lemon
1/3 cup fresh mint leaves
Let sit overnight in the refrigerator
DR. ROB’S NOTES: Before adding the water place 10 of the 20 strawberries in the pitcher and mash them with a wooden spoon or appropriate utensil. This will help to enhance the flavor of the drink, in addtion, strawberries are so low calorie mashing them won’t detract from the weight loss benefits.
Finley slicing the remainder of the fruit allows more surface area so you will get more of the nutrients infused into the water.
Pound the mint before you put it into the water. Pounding your mint either in your hand or on a cutting board will release more of the essential oils from the mint to infuse into the water.
FYI,ginger may have thermogenic properties that help boost your metabolism, as well as, have an appetite suppressant effect when consumed.
This drink is great for your digestion, is loaded with electrolytes and supports the detoxification pathways of the skin, lungs, liver and intestines. It’s another really beautiful drink!
