Because we love healthy and easy, try this easy homemade herbed vinaigrette on cold, crisp salads, seasonal roasted or grilled vegetables, and as a chicken and beef marinade! Or, drizzle a generous amount over wild caught salmon, fresh jumbo shrimp and scallops before popping it into the oven at 375 degrees. It is sure to add that extra layer of zing to your favorite seafood! We love making our own vinaigrette because we have the choice in the ingredients.
Choose organic herbs and spices from your local farms or grocer, and raw or organic vinegars and oils from brands you trust. What’s best, this recipe is amazingly versatile! Add basil and oregano for an Italian theme, or mint for seafood! It’s such an economical and healthy way of adding a punch to your family’s favorite foods! Easy Homemade Herbed Vinaigrette

Ingredients:
- ¼ cup flaxseed oil
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp vinegar (balsamic or raw apple cider)
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- Minced garlic
- Oregano, basil, mint, thyme or herbs of choice
Directions:
- In a medium bowl combine all ingredients together and pour into a mason jar with lid tightly screwed. Shake well.
- Store in an air-tight mason jar in the refrigerator up to two days.
