The body never attacks itself.  It always attacks something inside itself.  I’ve been saying this for years.

The human body attacks things in itself that shouldn’t be there.  These things could be viruses, bacteria, yeast, mold, parasites, heavy metals and so on.

The body wants to remove these things and it uses the immune system to do it.

The immune system is an extremely powerful system.  Essentially, it is the body’s own military, fully fitted with tanks, grenades and atomic warfare.  The problem is, if the immune system is using an atomic bomb to remove a toxin inside your thyroid gland, then goodbye thyroid gland.  If the immune system turns its military focus on the joints then hello rheumatoid arthritis and joint point.  This is the set up for most autoimmune diseases.

If a virus, like the Epstein Barr Virus, ends up in the thyroid gland then the immune system will start to attack that virus.  The problem is the thyroid can be damaged in the process.

Imagine a fly on the wall.  Most people would kill the fly with a simple fly swatter.  Not the immune system!  The immune system would use a 12-guage shotgun. Bang!

Now don’t get me wrong, the fly will be dead, however, there will be holes all over the wall and if there were enough flies in the house, then goodbye house.

All autoimmune diseases, and health problems alike, have an underlying cause.  The key is to identify it.  For example, the autoimmune disease rheumatoid arthritis can occur when the bacteria klebsiella combines with the bacteria h. pylori.  Hashimoto’s thyroiditis can occur in the presence of a specific bacteria called, “Yersinia.”

The primary goal has to be to identify the root cause.
