Hey Guys, in the below video I cover 5 uncommon but really great foods for the thyroid gland. I think these should be part of many thyroid eating programs.
When we are looking at the thyroid gland we are looking at a gland that controls the metabolic rate of our body, the health of our hair, skin and nails, our moods, our weight and many other bodily functions. What we should eat or should not eat has been discussed by me and other in a variety of videos. However, this video covers 5 uncommon foods that are potentially great for this gland.
Iodine itself is needed for the formation of T4 also known as thyroxine or thyroid hormone. T4 is relatively inactive in the body.
Selenium is an important trace mineral that helps to convert T4 to T3, which is the active thyroid hormone that helps us lose weight and get healthy.
Tyrosine, an amino acid, combines with iodine to make thyroid hormone.
A person that suspects or knows that they have thyroid problems or a thyroid disease should of course consult their medical doctor first before trying anything that is in this video.
