12 Healing Thyroid Foods

Sable fish is extremely high in essential fatty acids, as well as, contains a wonderful balance of minerals that the fish draws into the body from the water it lives it. It is this combination of minerals and essential fatty acids that can be incredibly healthy for the thyroid gland.
Hemp seeds are one of the only plant based forms of protein that contain all the essential amino acids that the human body needs. In addition, hemp seeds are very high in the amino acid L-tyrosine. The reason that is so important is because your thyroid can’t make thyroid hormone without the amino acid L-tyrosine. In addition, hemp seeds are very anti-inflammatory, which reduces thyroid stress and promotes healing. This definitely makes hemp seeds part of the 12 healing thyroid foods for sure.
Brazil nuts are very high in the nutrient selenium which is essential for the conversion of T4 to T3, which is why I include them in my once a day 12 thyroid healing thyroid foods.
Wild blueberries are definitely one of the key 12 healing thyroid foods because they have the ability to pull dangerous heavy metals out of the human body. The reason that’s so important is because the heavy metal mercury can actually interfere with the absorption of iodine into the thyroid gland. This is a major concern because the thyroid has to have iodine in order to make thyroid hormone.
